Canoeing!
Hey, we got a canoe!
Chloe’s ready to paddle!
Show me your cookie face!

And so, Chloe had a day off from school so we headed back to Newport to visit the aquarium and search for Crab Monsters!
But first we had to draw a bunny.
The search for crabs begins…
How do they do the bare feet thing?
Back at the motel, the Crab Monsters begin to take shape.
First we rinse off the sand.
Now the hot glue gun comes out.
The Crab Monsters are coming together nicely.
But next, breakfast!
Pigs, Pancakes & Tourists.
But before we get back to important Crab Monster work, a stop at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
Holy cow, the starfish are giants!
Don’t let the Alaskan King Crab sneak up behind you in a dark tank.
When sharks fly.
Time to snack on Chloe’s head before we go back to the beach!
One last look at the Crab Monsters.
They followed us home where we can expect they will continue to grow and mutate!
Happy Easter! Shall we follow Chloe as she hunts for Easter eggs at Dad’s place?
And here we go. Chloe got a “screaming goat” toy in an easter basket and now she just wants to watch her screaming goat video over and over.
You have been warned.
Hello cookie decorated as a screaming goat.
Happy Easter 2021 everyone!
Chloe on the swing on the big tree in front of Dad’s place.
Chloe has been very excited about Easter. Here she describes how she handled a Peep Dilemma.
Chloe has also been struggling with a loose baby tooth that is almost, but not quite, ready to come out!
Finally it’s time to dye eggs! In this case, Lisa and I have been joshing her about dying Easter Brussel Sprouts, so of course, sprouts had to make an appearance!
Eggs!
Many fine eggs…
…and here we are at the beach in Newport, Oregon!
After the beach we went down to the waterfront for ice cream and Sea Lions!
Chloe is very excited for Easter. How excited? She made s’mores with marshmallow peeps!
Let’s watch…
But first we went to the park.
Then… PIZZA!
This is a game Chloe and River play.

Horse!
Today we went on a short hike to University Falls, in the Tillamook forest.
After University Falls we rolled down the highway a bit to a day use area by the Wilson River called Jones Creek.
Chloe says this is a walrus with human eye and lips.
So, the Jet Stream slows down a bit and cold air from the arctic rolls over North America, resulting in a whole lot of snow in Portland! As you can imagine, lots of fun snow to play in. Here Chloe shows us her Snow Dance!
This is a Snow Kitty!
As you can see, plenty of snow on the roads. Managed to bike over to Safeway and replenish the seltzer supply.
Just your average four-foot pile of snow…
This is a crab who’s getting human legs and his name “Tomithy”.
Meanwhile… bunny!
Yes, I wasn’t able to finish this project in time for Zarkmas, but it was still way fun! Yep, its an animated christmas tree ornament! I’ve been working on small electronic projects from Hackerboxes and Adafruit.
